Finally Smiling

On the 17th of December Will smiled for the first time, but it took awhile to finally catch it on camera. Jack took this picture on December 30th, 2008. I love when your kids start to smile because then you feel like they are a person instead of just a eating, pooping, sleeping animal. You are finally able to interact with them.

Will's Blessing Day

This is Will on December 28, 2008 the day he was blessed. We drove down to Utah and blessed him in Grandma and Grandpa Eberhard's ward. We were so happy that we could do it where more family could be there. Don't you think Will looks really handsome in his sunday best?
Of course Samuel wanted to be part of the photos.

Will Reese Huckaby was named after his Grandpa Theron Reese Eberhard.

Crazy photos

We hope that everyone had a great Christmas. This was the first year we spent Christmas in Cascade. We had a lot of snow and just stayed in the house and relaxed all day. How blessed I am to have these four beautiful children to share the joy of Christmas with.

A thumb sucker

None of my other children ever tried to suck their thumbs, but from the time Will was born I was worried that he would. He had two marks one on each of his hand that look kind of like a blister had broke. I wondered if it was from him sucking on his hand in the womb. A few days before Christmas he finally got a hold of his thumb and was a very happy camper.

How we spent the week before Christmas

Aunt Nicolle came to visit and Will fell in love with her. He liked cuddling with her and gave her many of his precious smiles that are few and far between right now.
Gracie and Aunt Nikki had fun experimenting with the curlers. I don't have a cute after picture because Gracie would not stay still enough and they all fell out.

We attempted making a gingerbread house which was really cute while it lasted. It had a hard time staying together but the kids had fun making it and that is what mattered.

We spent some time getting ready for an inspection from the health inspector. Rodney and Troy got very creative about how to put batteries in the smoke detector. I know you are all wondering why two general contractors couldn't just use a ladder. I had the same question.

Samuel our actor

Samuel loves to pretend that he is someone or something else besides himself and he loves to dress up. The girls were taking turns trying on Gracie's dress and Samuel wanted a turn so Roxie helped him put it on. What a cutie he is.
Samuel also had a fun time dressing up like Winnie the Pooh at Yolanda's house.

Will is taking after his brother. He likes to pretend also.

Happy 1 month birthday Will!

Thanks Grandma Huckaby for the cute booties, hat, and scarf.

We decided to celebrate Will's 1 month birthday with a photo shot. Thank you Aunt Yolanda for helping us with your great camera.

For anyone that knows Samuel you know that he is a little difficult to deal with and is very fiesty. But what you might not know is that he has a very goofy personality and loves to make people laugh. He loves to pull funny faces when I am trying to get a good picture these two pictures were my favorite out of the pictures I took on this particular morning.

Gracie loves Will so much. She is constantly wanting to hold him and is a very good helper when is comes to caring for him. She is a good big sister.

Jack was so excited to have Will join our family. He is old enough now that he is a great helper when he is home and is always inventing these very funny nick names that aren't even real words. Jack is a great kid to have be the oldest in the family.

Rodney was trying to calm Will down and this is where he ended up. Can you say Father of the year. Just kidding Will didn't mind being in the basket at all.

We are so excited to welcome Will Reese Huckaby to our family. He was born on Novemeber 7th 2008 at 9:45 am. He weighed 6 lbs 15 oz and is 21.75 inches long. My labor was great and everything went fine.

We think he is such a cutie.

Rodney could not be more happy about our new baby.

Only picture we got with Will's eyes open. He is a skinny little thing isn't he?

Happy Halloween

Favorite picture of the night - Samuel trying to calmly explain that he wants taffy and not the very yummy pork roast that I made for dinner that night.

The trick or treating fam. I may be a little bias but I thought they were the cutest trick or treaters out there. We had great weather and the kids had a lot of fun.

Rodney was so lucky to get a photo-op with Sarah Palin at the trunk or treat.

My favorite thing about Halloween is making my kids cute costumes. Jack was suppose to be the Tin man and then got some funny eyes at school and decided he wanted to be a....well your guess is as good as mine. Gracie of course is always a good sport and let me make a Raggedy Ann doll costume even though she originally wanted to be a belly dancer. Her costume turned out great. Samuel of course got the store bought hand-me-down from the costume box but it kept him nice and warm. And well Rodney is an adult and he is totally responisble for his own costume.

Discovering Something New.

Rodney's sister Pamela and her kids came to visit for the weekend. We took them to two places that we had never been before in the three years we have lived here. First we found out that the ski resort here has a 18 hole disc golf course. Everyone had a lot of fun playing. I of course found a nice spot in the woods to sit and read a good book. But we definetly will go again. Rodney love disc golf. Second we we to Ponderosa State park in McCall. It was very pretty there and we enjoyed just hanging out on the beach relaxing. (The great picture of this weekend are courtesy of Yolanda, Rodney's sister, who just got a great SLR camera. Thanks Yolanda)
Family picture on Osprey Ridge above Payette lake in the Ponderosa State Park, McCall, Id

Rodneyis a very hard worker and rarely can be seen just relaxing, but he really enjoyed this day of playing.

I really liked this picture even though I am huge. It looked like it could be on a magazine cover "Humongous pregnant women and their sexy men"

Gracie enjoyed playing at the lake even though the water was freezing.

I love this picture because it captured a funny new thing that Samuel has started to do. He tries really hard not to smile and you get this cute face instead.

Rodney is thinking about a new career choice. He thinks he wanted to be a frisbee golf player. Does anybody know if you can do that as a pro?

Jack wants to be like his dad.

Gracie and Samuel picked up some sticks on the disc golf course and said that they were deer. I think they would be very safe in the woods this hunting season.
