Brian's Tree

While I was in Utah I also had a chance to be with Nicolle at the dedication of a memorial tree in honor of Brian. Brian, Nicolle's husband, had worked to the City of North Salt Lake for a long time so they planted a tree at the city public works building where he worked. One of Nicolle's young women did it for a personal progress activity. It was a very nice little ceremony and was good to see people gather in Brian's honor again. We miss Brian a lot and will always love him.

Box Elder County Fair Fun

At the end of our Utah trip we went to the Box Elder county Fair which is always fun, except this year we didn't have Rodney with us which we were sad about.Waiting for the parade to come in our cute cowboy clothes that we found at DI and Kid to Kid. (not my clothes)
The kids had a lbast riding a few rides. This was a totally new experience for Samuel and Gracie.
Gracie had riden on some rides at the fair before but was to young to remember. This year when the Merry Go Round started going she said that it was "very exciting and thrilling"

Samuel loved the tickets that he got to hold while he was in line. He played with them to keep him entertained while we waited and even riped on in half. Luckily the guy taking tickets still excepted it.

Grandpa's tractor

My dad spent a whole lot of time fixing up this old tractor and drove it in the Box Elder county fair. The theme of the parade was A Family Tradition or something like that which is why the sign on the side of the tractor say what it does. He did an awesome job and we were glad to be there to watch him in the parade.
Samuel wasn't too impressed with the tractor but didn't mind being up on the seat since he thought the cat could not get up there. He was petrified of the cat and spent most of his time while at my mom and dad's in the house because the cat wasn't in there.

Eberhard Annual Camping Trip

Our next adventure was a three day camping trip with the Eberhard Clan. It was very relaxing and enjoyable. Gracie has been asking about cousin Isabel for months because she had not seen her since she was about a week old. Gracie was thrilled to be able to hold and play with her.
And of course Jack couldn't resist her cutness either.
We camped at Downeta Hot springs and so we spent a lot of time swimming which all the kids loved.

A trip to Dinosaur Park

We finally made a trip to Utah and spent two fun filled weeks bouncing around to visit everyone. It was great and though I was exhausted I would do it again in a heart beat because I miss everyone so much. Our first adventure filled day was visting the Dinosaur part where we saw these very dangerous creatures. Don't get too close they scream something terrible.
We also spent some time exploring the job opportunities there might be in the excavation business.
And we hunted and hunted for any signs of dinosaur life.
Jack was not happy with the results of his hunt.

Valley County Fair

We spent a few hours at our county fair. It is really nothing to brag about and really is only good for one thing-not having to cook dinner that night. Rodney's sister did take this cute picture though and because don't get many pictures of Rodney on the blog I thought I should put this one on. Do you think that they look alike?
Good old county fair fun (Madison Forsgren, Gracie, and Tyson Forsgren, Huckaby cousins)
Gracie's favorite thing about the fair is the smoked turkey legs. Her and Jack shared it and could not eat the whole thing. Yum Yum!

Samuel Makes Me Laugh

I know I shouldn't laugh but I couldn't help it. I have not idea how he got into this perdicament but he couldn't get himself out and he was mad about it.
Samuel is finally earning his keep which is essential in a house full of 11 people.
