Discovering Something New.

Rodney's sister Pamela and her kids came to visit for the weekend. We took them to two places that we had never been before in the three years we have lived here. First we found out that the ski resort here has a 18 hole disc golf course. Everyone had a lot of fun playing. I of course found a nice spot in the woods to sit and read a good book. But we definetly will go again. Rodney love disc golf. Second we we to Ponderosa State park in McCall. It was very pretty there and we enjoyed just hanging out on the beach relaxing. (The great picture of this weekend are courtesy of Yolanda, Rodney's sister, who just got a great SLR camera. Thanks Yolanda)

Rodneyis a very hard worker and rarely can be seen just relaxing, but he really enjoyed this day of playing.

I really liked this picture even though I am huge. It looked like it could be on a magazine cover "Humongous pregnant women and their sexy men"

Gracie enjoyed playing at the lake even though the water was freezing.

I love this picture because it captured a funny new thing that Samuel has started to do. He tries really hard not to smile and you get this cute face instead.

Rodney is thinking about a new career choice. He thinks he wanted to be a frisbee golf player. Does anybody know if you can do that as a pro?

Jack wants to be like his dad.

Gracie and Samuel picked up some sticks on the disc golf course and said that they were deer. I think they would be very safe in the woods this hunting season.

Pumpkin Fun

Some friends had a pumpkin carving party and here are our pumpkins that we carved. Rodney helped Jack with the skeleton that turned out really good. I carved the other pumpkin and of course Gracie lays claim to it. We had a fun time dispite the fact that carvin pumpkins is not really my favorite part of Halloween.

Fall Photo shoot.

Rodney was really enjoying himself.

One of my favorite things about fall is taking fall color pictures. These were some of my favorite. We didn't really have stunning colors but we had a lot of fun doing it.

Rodney the Lumberjack

Jack was complaining about too much noise to do his homework, so Rodney put his logging helmet to good use.
The logging crew.

Rodney spent this summer working in the logging wood. He worked as a limber which means he would cut the limbs off of the trees and cut them to appropriate lengths. It wasn't something he really enjoyed but it paid the bills. We have been told many time this summer that logging is one of the most dangerous jobs you can have. We are grateful that he is finally done and that we only had one visit to the ER all summer long. (Rodney grazed his pinky toe with the chain saw. He wasn't badly hurt and did not even miss one day of work.) Rodney's grandpa Huckaby was a logger and so now he can say he carried on the family tradition. Thanks for all your hard work Rodney.

Soccer Boy

Jack has been asking about playing soccer since we moved to Cascade. They had a soccer league at one time but they played on Sunday and so I didn't let him be involved. Finally the Rec district did a 5 week soccer camp. Jack went twice a week and learned how to play soccer. They didn't really have set teams that played each other. They just scrimaged and learn the ruled. He had a lot of fun and was really good at playing soccer.

Happy 5th Birthday Gracie!

Even though we had a big party the week before I tried to Gracie feel special on her birthday. She hung out with Kade and Tyson and Samuel, and got a milkshake after lunch.

Gracie and the Boys.
I did a little photoshot for Gracie on her birthday. As you may recall I want to be a budding photographer but I am still in the early spring of my development.

Samuel the sleepy.

We have sort of been transitioning Samuel out of naps because when he has a nap he has a hard time going to sleep at night but some days it gets a little hard for him in the afternoon. He sat down to play Atari with Rodney and started to fall asleep. We all go a great laugh out of it.
Of course Rodney finished playing with him even though Samuel wasn't really participating.

The Big Birthday Bash!

Grandma Eberhard made this cute cake for the party.
Travis was enjoying the pinata part of the party the best.
Gracie trying her hardest to free all the pinata treats.
Because Grandma and Grandpa were here on Jack's birthday we had a double party and Gracie got to celebrate a week early. Grandma brought a pinata and made a great cake, and of course the kids had great time.

The Big Birthday

So Jack's birthday was a great day. Living in a little branch he was the only one getting baptized as so he got to do it on his birthday. Grandma and Grandpa Eberhard and Aunt Nicolle and Uncle Travis all came to celebrate with us. I am so proud of Jack but it made me a little emotional to think that my little boy was old enough to be baptized.

Just Having Fun!

The boys were being goofy and all decided to dress in their slicky pants so I took a picture.
I was making pie for something so I decided that Gracie and Tyson should learn about the letter P. I had them each make their own little cream pie and as you can see Tyson was very excited about eating his. It was a lot of fun and Gracie still remembers how to write the letter P and what sound it makes.
