The Big Birthday Bash!

Grandma Eberhard made this cute cake for the party.
Travis was enjoying the pinata part of the party the best.
Gracie trying her hardest to free all the pinata treats.
Because Grandma and Grandpa were here on Jack's birthday we had a double party and Gracie got to celebrate a week early. Grandma brought a pinata and made a great cake, and of course the kids had great time.

The Big Birthday

So Jack's birthday was a great day. Living in a little branch he was the only one getting baptized as so he got to do it on his birthday. Grandma and Grandpa Eberhard and Aunt Nicolle and Uncle Travis all came to celebrate with us. I am so proud of Jack but it made me a little emotional to think that my little boy was old enough to be baptized.

Just Having Fun!

The boys were being goofy and all decided to dress in their slicky pants so I took a picture.
I was making pie for something so I decided that Gracie and Tyson should learn about the letter P. I had them each make their own little cream pie and as you can see Tyson was very excited about eating his. It was a lot of fun and Gracie still remembers how to write the letter P and what sound it makes.

My cute 2nd grader

Here is Jack on the first day of school. I had a hard time believing that he was headed to 2nd grade. It is even harder to believe that he will getting baptized soon. Am I old enough to have an 8 year old? Jack worked really hard to lose 4 teeth so he would have a great smile for this picture.

Funny Picture

I just had to put this picture on my blog. We were on our way home from Utah and I looked back in the rear view mirror to check on the kids and saw this. Luckily the camera was in the front seat and I had Jack snap a picture. I just thought it was so funny.

Brian's Tree

While I was in Utah I also had a chance to be with Nicolle at the dedication of a memorial tree in honor of Brian. Brian, Nicolle's husband, had worked to the City of North Salt Lake for a long time so they planted a tree at the city public works building where he worked. One of Nicolle's young women did it for a personal progress activity. It was a very nice little ceremony and was good to see people gather in Brian's honor again. We miss Brian a lot and will always love him.

Box Elder County Fair Fun

At the end of our Utah trip we went to the Box Elder county Fair which is always fun, except this year we didn't have Rodney with us which we were sad about.Waiting for the parade to come in our cute cowboy clothes that we found at DI and Kid to Kid. (not my clothes)
The kids had a lbast riding a few rides. This was a totally new experience for Samuel and Gracie.
Gracie had riden on some rides at the fair before but was to young to remember. This year when the Merry Go Round started going she said that it was "very exciting and thrilling"

Samuel loved the tickets that he got to hold while he was in line. He played with them to keep him entertained while we waited and even riped on in half. Luckily the guy taking tickets still excepted it.
