October Happenings.

Jack ran in the Cascade Lake Run 5k. This is him with a group of friends before the race started.
Jack did really well. Especially for a kid that does not train. He got 3rd place in his age group and he was the 9th male to finish the race. Way to go Jack.

I thought Samuel was so cute falling a sleep on top of a stuffed animal. That is exactly what I wanted to do but as you can see I wasn't quit done with my chores for the day.
We decided to paint pumpkins this year instead of carve them. The kids had a lot of fun with this activity. They love doing anything that involves paint.

Rodney was being stubborn and wouldn't paint his pumpkin so I finally convinced him he could draw a face with a Sharpie.

Jack helped sew his Halloween costume. (by the way it is cheaper to buy a penquin costume than it is to make one. Hind sight is everything.)
I went to the school for a costume parade and Samuel joined in the parade with Jack. After the parade I went to Jack's class to get Samuel and he did not want to leave. Jack's teacher is great and she found a desk for him and set him all up to participate in the read-a-thon that they were having. We ended up staying at the school all morning with Samuel being a very happy 3rd grader. He really wants to go to school.
This is Will trying on Rodney's wig

Here is a picture of this year's characters. It was a beautiful day in Cascade on Halloween. I was worried it would be freezing or snowing. The weather turned out to be great.
Here's Napoleon Dynamite taking my kids trick or treating.
Will loved his treats.
