Yesturday we participated in the Cascade Lake Fun Run and walk. Jack got a scholarship through the school and wanted to be in the race. I was planning on running the 2 mile run with him. Two days before the race I fell and sprained my ankle so I ended up walking the 2 miles but Jack ran the whole way. I was so proud of him. He ended up winning 2nd place in his age catagory. Who knew he would end up being a runner.

Even at 7 Jack needs a little buddy in bed. He got a little monkey for his birthday and one night I went in to check on him and just thought he looked so cute.

So my new favorite thing about fall is sticking a baby in a pumpkin and living my dream of being a photographer. Lincoln was a good sport and the picture turned out cute I think.

So of course a week later we did Gracie birthday. She turned 4 and got to be princess for a day. As you can see I attempted decorating a cake. It turned out ok looking but she liked it so that is what was important. She had a great day.

Jack turned 7 on the 19th of September. He wanted Pie for his birthday instead of cake. I was more than happy to make it for him because I would rather eat pie. He is excited to be 7, but a few days later we went to a convert baptism and after that he started saying he wished he had turned eight so he could get baptized. Kids are hard to please.

Hippy Family

Here are our cute shirts we made this summer. Aren't my kids cute?

With Jack starting school I decided Gracie needed something to keep her busy so she is taking ballet lessons. She really likes the anticipation of going but is a little nervouse when she get there. I am hoping she will grow out of that. But I do think she is a cute ballerina and yes I am projecting my want as a child to be a ballerina on her.

Friendly visitors

For the past three weeks or so we have had some fun visitors to our yard. Quiet frequently two bucks and a doe come into our yard to eat. Seeing deer is not an unusually occurance but these three seem to love the plants in our yard and have choosen us as their favorite dinner spot. The kids love to see them. Gracie tried screaming at them to get them to leave on day but they didn`t seem to mind. The day I took this pictures the kids were trying to see how close they could get. This has been a great source of intertainment for us.

Fall!!

Peaches are the absolute best part of Fall. Here are my beautiful peaches I put up this year. It was the first time I had done canning by myself and after 81 quarts I consider myself an expert Well at least for peaches.

Finally making it to school.

This is Jack when he finally got to go to school. He is growing up way to fast but i have not found a way to stop him from growing.

A Bad Day

This is how Jack spent the first day of school. We got a parasite in Utah while swimming but didn`t know at this time that is what it was. We had several weeks of being sick. Not a very great way to spend the first day of school

I`m Hungry

my poor Samuel he always gets hungry before dinner is ready. This night he decided to help himself since no one was listening to his cries for food.

Baby Bear

We had an exciting weekend. We went river rafting on Saturday with my sister Nicolle and her husband Brian. We were returning the raft to our friends house When we pulled into the yard there was a baby brown bear. Steve, our friend, was trying to lure the bear into a dog kennel. I had never seen a bear before. I was so cool but unfortunatly I did not have my camera Bummer but it was really cool to see.
